The Woodstock of Motocross- Going oFF!! @ GLENHELEN
Every year i hear about how much fun everyone had at day in the dirt at Glen Helen. I hear the racing is epic and hilariously engaging, and the parties are world class. I for one haven't made it out to one of these races yet but am looking forward to 2014 throw-down. Below I've included a link to the race schedule and other information about the event and i hope to see all of you out there. Bring me a beer!!
Texas is without a doubt a breeding ground for serious off-road talent. The dirt there is diverse and awesome.
Cycle Ranch and Swan MX rockin' the Red Clay "gear destroying" Splatter, Rio Bravo with its Riverbed Neopolitan flavor-combo, you'll love hookin' up a new Mx32 rear and throwing some roost. Theres no shortage of MX enthusiasm and competition down south and now EMX has expanded their program to host events all across the calender year. There is more information on their website about Grand National Championships, State Championships, and Local Series holdings. Formerly known as Evo MX, "EMX" is one of the oldest Series campaigns in the US with decades bringing you everything from Modern Classes, Vintage and Vet racing. www.emxonline.com
We received this Ducati in crashed form fresh after the spill occured, The rear of the frame/ subframe was tweaked up and down and all around. This alone had produced a "totalled" effect on the bike since the rear shock linkage operates intimately with the rear portion of the frame. In addition to the fore-mentioned totalities, the Kickstand mounted located in the engine case had broken out of the engine. This would mean the cases need to be removed and replaced as far as insurance companies are concerned. We assured our customer that this wasnt necessary and we could have it machined and welded to near original condition and the added strength benefits of a gusset. The bike was far behind on maintenance so we upgraded the clutch, installed new timing belts, upgraded the Drive train and Changed out the oil with Maxima Extra 4 15-50 and a K&N oil filter. We thought it would be cool to chop the pipes in half and re-cap em' given the tubes were bent near the ends. It sounds great and looks pretty cool too. After diving all in on this preoject we decided to take the Maintenance program to the next level just for added peace of mind and complete restoration. We went through the brakes and mounted some Dunlop Q3's to perk up control feel. I cant decide if the new paint scheme is ideal for this bike but she might get some tweaks or just rock the Robo-cop look. Chopping the tail and installing the integrated LED tail light and hydraulic brake switch by Vortex we a sweep upgrade cleaning up a sloppy tail.. Icing on the cake will be Vortex racing clip on handlebars and Ducabike Rearsets.....
I was shocked and all ears when i heard that Kawasaki was unleashing a 1000RR killer with speculations about its displacement and other aesthetic details. First off the front end looks like a transformers mask, ITS SUPERCHARGED, wtf. Insane and we love how they shit on all the manufacturers key elements and made the all appealing H2r. Ducati style steel_Step frame, one sided swing arm, 5 star rim like the MV, Dumb power and a look thats turning the industry upside down. I heard it was gonna be the 1500cc. watercraft engine which would be heavy i guess the decided to keep it 1000cc. Check em out, they are already taking deposits at the Dealer..
